Dr. Christopher E. Dembski earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Anatomy and his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. He has been practicing chiropractic for twenty four years, remaining passionate about his work. The expansion of the practice to include practitioners from various fields reflects his dedication to the promotion of patient health. A former collegiate athlete, Dr. Dembski continues to remain athletic through endurance sports. He has participated in Half Ironman Triathlons and has completed eight marathons. When he is not working or exercising, you can often find him on a golf course. Not only does he aim to keep his patients healthy, but he also strives to take his own advice!
Dr. Cassandra Maximenko joined Dembski Chiropractic and Rehabilitation in 2011 as an Associate Chiropractic Physician. Dr. Maximenko studied at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT where she received her Bachelor of Science in Human Movement and Sports Science in 2005, graduating at the top of her class. She then earned her Master’s degree in Sports Health Care from the Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa, Arizona in 2008. Dr. Maximenko moved back to Connecticut to attend the University of Bridgeport’s College of Chiropractic earning her Doctor of Chiropractic, graduating Summa Cum Laude. At the same time, she earned her Masters degree in Nutrition.
In practice, Dr. Maximenko utilizes Chiropractic manipulation, Low Level Laser Therapy, ART (Active Release Technique) and Graston Technique for the management of soft tissue and joint injuries.
In addition to Chiropractic care, Dr. Maximenko provides nutritional counseling services for a variety of patient needs ranging from weight loss and disease management to athletic performance enhancement with a focus on teaching patients how to practice healthy eating as a lifestyle rather than dieting for short-term results. She carries a variety of physician quality supplements as well to ensure her patients are utilizing safe and effective products.
Outside of the office, Dr. Maximenko is an athlete herself. From 2006-2012, she competed as an elite level triathlete and achieved “All American” status in 2011 and 2012. She then switched her focus to compete at the professional level in the sport of Cyclocross from 2011-2018 during which time she was ranked within the top 50 in the world and top 10 in the nation. She recently returned to the sport of triathlon earning “All American” status again in 2021 and 2022, when she also qualified for the Triathlon Olympic Distance World Championships. She currently competes in Cross Country Mountain Biking and is a recreational backpacker, completing the Connecticut segment of the Appalachian Trail in the Fall of 2022 with her Australian Cattle Dog, Azura. Dr. Maximenko uses her experience as an accomplished athlete to provide comprehensive care to all of her patients, especially those engaging in a variety of sports competitions.
Dr. Jason Stryjewski joined the practice in 2021. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in 2012. Since graduating from chiropractic college, Dr. Stryjewski has treated a diverse population of patients ranging from weekend warriors to Olympic level athletes. Dr. Jay strives to continually stay on top of the best evidence in musculoskeletal diagnosis and treatment in an effort to personalize treatment to ensure the best possible outcomes in the shortest period of time. Dr. Jay’s holistic approach to treating musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction includes providing self help strategies and rehabilitative/corrective exercises. Dr. Stryjewski believes that living a healthy, active lifestyle is vital to overall well-being. He enjoys coaching his patients in areas of nutrition and exercise. Outside of the office Dr. Jay enjoys CrossFit and exploring the outdoors with his wife and dog.
